The below links allow you to download a variety of programming-related files.

I didn't write any of these myself, but they're liable to be useful with software that I've written, and they're Good Stuff.

ARROW20: Arrowsoft Assembler 2.00c
FREE!!!
Download arrow20.zip

The Arrowsoft Assembler is a very nice MASM-compatible assembler. It doesn't support opcodes for processors after the 80386, but if that's not an issue for you, this is a best bet. It's easily better than Microsoft's assemblers before MASM 6.0 came out.

This version of the Arrowsoft Assembler is a free trial version of a former professional product. Arrowsoft seems to have vanished off the face of the earth, alas. If anyone knows who owns the rights to this fine product these days, please email me. If it's no longer being sold, it should be. Anyway, the trial version is fully useful as-is.

ASIC 5.00: a BASIC compiler by 80/20 Software
Shareware, $25
Download asic500.zip

ASIC is a small, but quite useful, implementation of BASIC. It includes a command-line compiler and an IDE (integrated development environment). ASIC's built-in functionality can be readily supplemented by external program libraries, such as my own IBRARY shareware product.

As near I can tell, 80/20 Software is no longer in business, so it may not be possible to obtain the registered version of ASIC. If anyone knows who owns the rights to this fine product these days, please email me. As with the Arrowsoft Assembler-- if it's no longer being sold, it should be. Likewise, though, the trial version is fully useful as-is.

Many of these files are absolutely free. Others are trial versions of shareware products.

Shareware
With shareware, you get to try a product out to see if it suits your needs and interests. If you decide to buy it, you can do so online by clicking the appropriate link.

Trial Version
The trial versions are always fully functional, although the full versions typically contain extra goodies, such as the source code for the product and perhaps additional items. The trial versions of my programming tools are not licensed for commercial use. To employ these tools in a product of your own, you must purchase the full registered version. (In many cases, these files are being converted to freeware or public domain-- please stay tuned)
